Staff <-> Staff Competency Checks

These checks are based on all staff allocated to a job and check for compatibility between all staff on the basis of the following.

Drivers Licence Competency Checks

Full with anybody else: no alert (i.e. never any alerts based on licence type)

Restricted by themselves: no alert Restricted with unlicensed driver: alert Restricted with learners: alert (as per screenshot) Restricted with another restricted: alert Restricted with unlicensed driver: alert (i.e. always alert unless with full or by themselves)

Learners by themselves: alert Learners with unlicensed driver: alert Learners with another learners: alert Learners with restricted: alert (as per screenshot) Learners with full: no alert (as per first rule) (i.e. always alert unless with full)

Unlicensed driver by themselves: alert Unlicensed driver with another unlicensed driver: alert Unlicensed driver with learners: alert Unlicensed driver with restricted: alert Unlicensed driver with full: no alert (as per first rule) (i.e. always alert unless with full)

Points Competency Checks

If a job does not have labour required for the day, then this check is skipped. 4 points makes a job. And a staff with a 1-point rating must always be accompanied by a staff member with a 4-point rating.

  • 0 Points (not signed off to work on TTM jobs)
    • Not inducted to work on the road on any TTM job (i.e. office staff or awaiting training / induction or has non - conformance etc.)
  • 1 point (undergoing training under supervision of a 4 Point TTM staff member only)
    • Ready to start work on basic TTM jobs after completing your internal HS induction and basic training for working on TTM jobs, always supervised and under control of a Highly Experienced TTM Staff (min 4 Points rated TTM staff)
  • 2 points (signed off to set up and maintain basic TTM jobs with another 2 point or higher rated TTM staff)
    • Practising and experienced TTM staff i.e. has competencies and signed off internally for setting up & maintaining basic TTM jobs (i.e. MTC, shoulder & pedestrian management)
  • 4 Points (highly experienced senior TTM staff)
    • Senior TTM staff that is very experienced at all types of TTM jobs, including complicated closures and capable of mentoring and supervising 1 Point rated Staff

Summary: Minimum 4 points to make up a job. 1 must be supervised by 4 points. 2+2=✓,  2+2+1=✓,  2+1+1=&#x2717,  4=✓,  4+1=✓,  1+1+1+1=✗

NZTA Qualification Competency Checks

If a job does not have labour required for the day, then this check is skipped. Checks that there is a minimum of one TC allocated to the job.

Staff <-> Job Competency Checks

These checks are based on the staff allocated to the job, and the details of the jobs itself.

Availability

This checks that the staff does not have any leave booked, and is otherwise available for the duration of the job from the start time.

NZTA Qualification Competency Checks

This checks that the staff allocated to the job have the correct level of NZTA qualification for the road, based on the road level.

Staff <-> Vehicle Competency Checks

These checks ensure the staff have the correct and appropriate drivers licence for the vehicle allocated to the job.
